The team form of the PSG is really good. Players like Neymar Jr., Kylian Mbappe, and Edinson Cavani are really the kind of force that this game needs to have a sweeping win.
Angel Di Maria and Christopher Nkunku’s assists are also going to be crucial in this game if PSG wants to bag a comfortable win this time. They would need to keep the game energy up, but without losing the sight of the game.
We also have eyes on other players but really, these few are the only that matter in an easy game as such. Also, they will need to stop Rennes’ Benjamin Andre as he can upset the mid-game along with other midfielders.
Rennes won the last meeting of the two teams. 0-2 on 13 May, 2018. But before that, it was a streak of losses like 0-4, 1-4, 1-6, and 2-3. Sure, they’re improving, but need to cover much more ground if they want to be serious competition.
The Stade Rennes team has to depend on Ismaila Sarr, Benjamin Bourigeaud, and Clement Grenier. They are the top scorers of the team. But their total goals are only 4, which is equal to the 4 goals Neymar or Mbappe have put in already into Ligue 1 so far.
Rennes would want to stretch out the game as much as possible whiel trying to concede as less goals as possible. Making the PSG team tired won’t work either. Overall, if Rennes can make a statement it’s only if they try to eat as less goals as possible while keeping the PSG attackers busy and at bay for as long as possible without losing their own comfort.
