Tour de France 2017

Tour de France 2017, Stage 6 action starts on July 6th, 2017 8:00 AM EST. The route stretches to 216 km from Vesoul to Troyes and is mostly flat.

Italian team Astana’s Fabio Aru cruised his way to victory at La Planche des belles filles, winning the fifth stage of the Tour de France.

The three-times Tour de France winner Chris Froome snatched the “yellow jersey” from Team Sky team-mate Geraint Thomas.

Irishman Dan Martin finished second after 16 seconds from Aru while the defending champion Froome finished third four seconds behind.

Highlight in Stage 6 would come when the riders enter the village of the French ruler “Charles de Gaulle”- Colombey-les-deux-églises.

Being one of the longest route in the 104th Tour de France, this stage is crucial for the sprinters who will look forward at two lines: the intermediate sprint in Colombey-les-deux-églises at km 135 and the final one in Troyes after 216km of the race.
