The 104th edition  of Tour de France 2017 takes action on July 1st, 2017 9:00 AM EST with the individual time trial stage of 14 KMs in Düsseldorf.

198 best riders from 22 teams from around the globe will hit the cycling’s Grand Tour with 21 stages and 3,540 KMs to conquer. The overall prize purse for the Tour de France 2017 is €2,285,950.

The Cycling extravaganza will end with the Champs-Élysées stage from Montgeron to Paris on 23 July 2017.

Four-time world time trial champion- German superstar Tony Martin is the favourite to bag the first yellow jersey of the Tour de France.

He took the second spot in the two opening time trials in The Netherlands (2010), behind Fabian Cancellara and behind Rohan Dennis in Utrecht in 2015.
