Tampa Bay is running on a four-game winning streak after they pulled off a 3-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night. Nikita Kucherov was in total control of the Bolts’ offense as he scored twice for the win.
Tyler Johnson now leads the NHL standings with 10 points after scoring against the Red Wings.
No doubt goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy, who made 29 saves in his sixth straight start on Monday is the best so far in the league this season. Let’s see if contiues keep opponents at bay on Tuesday night.
The Devils are coming off a 3-2 win over New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. Backup goaltender Keith Kinkaid made 29 saves in his season debut in the win.
Adam Henrique, Miles Wood, and Drew Stafford led the offensive game scoring once each and rookie defenseman Will Butcher had two assists becoming the first rookie defenseman in NHL history to record at least eight assists in first five career games.
Stafford on his return to the ice after missing the last three games because of a lower-body injury played well against the Rangers. He will be starting again on Tuesday against Tampa Bay.
The Devils’ which struggled with their defensive end seems to have put together a strong team this season. Head Coach John Hynes has enhanced his defense’s potential by playing Steven Santini on the first pair with Andy Greene. And this pairing is working out well.
