Goaltender Matt Murray will be playing Game 4 for the Penguins, filling the place of Marc-Andre Fleury in Game 3. Fleury gave up four goals on nine shots faced in game 3 loss. Murray stopped an impressive 19 of 20 in his 2017 Stanley Cup Playoff debut.
Penguins defenseman Justin Schultz and forwards Bryan Rust, Patric Hornqvist and Tom Kuhnhackl seem to be doubtful to play in Game 4 and have been given the day to day status.
Penguins center Evgeni Malkin leads all postseason scorers with 20 points (six goals, 14 assists) and will be looking forward equalize series at 2-2 with a win in Game 4.
On their first game at home against the Pens, in a Conference Final on Wednesday night, the Senators were as fierce as possible with four goals coming from Mike Hoffman, Marc Methot, Derick Brassard and Zack Smith. Kyle Turris added one more to the 5-0 late in the second period and with amazing work by Craig Anderson in goal as well, the Sens pulled off a 5-1 win in Game 3, leading the series 2-1.
Sens head coach Guy Boucher has said that Alex Burrows is recovering and that he will be available for Game 4. Burrows was pulled out in Wednesday’s game due to a lower-body injury and did not rejoin the game.
