The Giants’ strength lies in its starter as 15 from the 2016 opener are slated to start in the 2017 season opener Sunday night. In addition, right tackle Bobby Hart, who considers himself to be best RT in the league and running back Paul Perkins are also expected join the Giants against the Cowboys.
The Giants will have its big free-agent additions-six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall and veteran tight end Rhett Ellison hit the field for them on Sunday.
The defensive side lacks in some experience but is young, strong and wild. B.J. Goodson, who had just 13 defensive outings as a rookie last year is set to be the starting middle linebacker. LB Keenan Robinson has been ruled out of the game due to a concussion while WR Odell Beckham Jr. remains questionable with an ankle issue.
Dallas enters the season as the reigning NFC East champion and No. 1 seed in the conference after a successful 13-3 campaign. However, two out of the three losses includes bouts against the Jets including the season opening loss.
The Cowboys defensive which was the best in the league playing run in 2016 will have some changes as new starters join at defensive tackle, middle linebacker, and safety.
One great thing for the Cowboys is that Ezekiel Elliott, the 2016 rushing champion will be seen playing Sunday night. Elliott six-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy has been upheld,
LB Anthony Hitchens is ruled with an ankle injury while CB Jourdan Lewis is questionable due to a hamstring problem.
