NFL has announced Ezekiel Elliott for a six-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. However, Elliott is eligible to play in the preseason practices and games. But Head coach Jason Garrett has not said anything on whether Elliott will be part of the action on Saturday night at the L.A. Rams.
Garrett has made many of the starters sit out of the preseason games as a precaution and some of the top young players are still on their way back to recovery from injury. LB Jaylon Smith, who will be returning from a knee injury and WR Ryan Switzer from a hamstring injury are still doubtful of play on Saturday night even though they were seen in the practice sessions.
These four preseason games will tune up the Rams’s new coaching staff, which will hope to get things working their way before the regular season.
Quarterback Jared Goff struggled throughout training camp and will under fire heading into both the preseason opener.
Projected starters Mark Barron, Robert Quinn, and Kayvon Webster are all expected to be sidelined for Saturday’s game along with newly signed wide receiver Sammy Watkins.
