Pittsburgh Steelers vs New York Giants

With the football fever back in the states, Pittsburgh Steelers and  New York Giants kick off their preseason schedule on Friday night. The game starts at 7:00 PM EST in MetLife Stadium. NBC will be providing the TV coverage while the game can be watched online live on FuboTV.

Though preseason games are known to draw fewer crowds, we can enjoy the young talents from the 2017 draft picks to show off their moves.

Pittsburgh Steelers Team News

James Harrison, who has seen very limited action in practice during training camp, putting the pads on just once, when the team held their Family Fest practice at Heinz Field. Harrison, who works out maniacally on his own, doesn’t need the extra reps that Tomlin said benefits the younger players.

Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown won’t be playing against the Giants. Also, Steelers summer signing veteran backup Landry Jones has suffered an abdominal injury and will be sidelined. As a result, 2017 NFL Draft fourth-round pick quarterback Joshua Dobbs gets the green flag to debut his NFL career on Friday.

New York Giants Team News

The Giants will also be without a quarterback and wide receiver, Sterling Shepard, and Brandon Marshall will be sitting out.  Backups Geno Smith and Davis Webb will take the charge for Giants on Friday.

.Giants’ backfield Paul Perkins will also get some play. All eyes will be hooked on rookie tight end Evan Engram, who was incredible in the training camp. Another youngster who has been waiting to see the light of pro football is Dalvin Tomlinson but will he be playing on Friday is unsure.

Fifth-round pick Defensive end Avery Moss and the Giants’ sixth-round selection tackle Adam Bisnowaty are all in line to play in the preseason games.
