Costa Rica – While Colin Kaepernick is currently unsigned, his capacity and talent when it comes to football is not a secret to a lot of football fans as well as to the former NFL (National Football League) quarterback Johnny Manziel.
Manziel believes that Kaepernick is good enough to be a part of the NFL. The former firmly believes that the latter will soon land a spot on one of the NFL rosters. During the International Football Betting Conference in Costa Rica, Manziel told Clay Travis from the Outkick of Coverage his thoughts on Colin Kaepernick in regard to the NFL.
Manziel said that even if Kaepernick is not going to start, he is still good enough to be part of the roster. He also added that the player would surely be okay especially when all the other stuff quiets down.
The former NFL quarterback also recounted the play history of Colin Kaepernick, and he particularly stated the match between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers at the Super Bowl and the NFC Championships of the Ravens against the Seattle Seahawks the following year. Manziel called Kaepernick the guy who was able to get the Baltimore Ravens to that place multiple times.
He also added that although the said player may have been down for a couple of years, he has a certain track record that can prove what he is capable of when it comes to going into the field and playing his best. Manziel also voiced his opinion on Kaepernick’s NFL career, saying that he doesn’t think it’s done yet.
For this offseason, Colin Kaepernick is still unsigned for reasons that are still up for debate. Some alleged reasons included teams not believing that he is good enough to play for them or his controversial political stance last season. Manziel, on the other hand, is attempting an NFL comeback after he missed the entirety of the 2016 season after several off-field concerns and some legal incidents.
