The Raptors are coming off a big 128-94 win over the 76ers on Saturday night. DeRozan notched 30 points on 66 percent shooting in just 27 minutes while Serge Ibaka added 21 as the Raptors won their 10th straight home game over Philadelphia. Also, Kyle Lowry scored 17 points and Jakob Poeltl posted a career-high 14 for 34-point margin victory.
Jonas Valanciunas was pulled out with a left ankle sprain late in the second quarter in Saturday’s victory against the 76ers. Listed as day-to-day Valanciunas is doubtful for Monday’s game against San Antonio.
The Spurs also captured their second game of the season with an 87-77 win over the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night. With Kawhi Leonard missing the action, another All-Star forward on the roster LaMarcus Aldridge led the team with 28 points and 10 rebounds for the home opener victory.
Leonard is out with a right quadriceps tendinopathy while Tony Parker is recovering from a tendon surgery, both are out for Monday’s game. Dejounte Murray and Kyle Anderson will be starting once again.
2016-17 All-Defensive Second Team member Danny Green is doing an excellent job in the defense. Green gave a 17-point, 4-rebound, two-assist, two-block, two-steal performance in the season opener and then 9 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists play in San Antonio’s second victory.
