Oklahoma City Thunder Team News

Thunders roared in their season opener posting 21 points lead 105-84 win over the New York Knicks on Wednesday. Four of five starters scored in double figures and surprisingly it was not Westbrook leading the ship.  Paul George scored team-high 28 points followed by Carmelo Anthony ( 22 points) and the reigning MVP Westbrook had 21 points, 16 assists and 10 rebounds for the win.

In a team that is that is brimming with defensive talents like three-time All-Defensive Team member Paul George and Patterson, and reigning All-Defensive Second Team member Andre Roberson, Stevan Adams came out strong with his defensive playstyle scoring 12 points again the Knicks.

Saturday’s game could see on- the- bench players getting some more playing time.

Utah Jazz Team News

Following a 106-96 win over Denver in the season opener, Jazz went out of tune in the later part of their second game of the season losing 97-100 to Minnesota Timberwolves.

An incredible performance was seen from Rodney Hood, who scored 20 points playing just 24 minutes but had to leave the game with a left calf injury. He is doubtful for Saturday’s play against Oklahoma.

Ricky Rubio added 19 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds while Derrick Favors notched 16 points and Rudy Gobert had 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz against the Timberwolves.

The team seems to be well composed and the only thing missing is a strong leadership on the court. Let’s hope someone takes that role on Saturday.
