The Nets will be looking to erase their last season’s NBA-worst 20-62 record as they enter Wednesday’s season opener against the Pacers.
The summer’s additions have workded out well convincing that it’s a better team than before as they defeated the Knicks and Heat in the preseason actions.
The Brooklyn squad is highlighted by its backcourt power in Jeremy Lin and D’Angelo Russell. Allen Crabbe was unbeatable from the three-point arc through the preseason. Two more players that the team coaching staff would be putting their hopes on are Sean Kilpatrick and Caris LeVert, both of whom also did considerably well in the exhibition games.
The Pacers finished last season 42-40 with a win percentage of 51.2, which could be thought as if they didn’t play at all!
Only five players from last year’s opening roster will hit the court this Wednesday. The management faced serious criticism after they traded away four-time All-Star Paul George and let three next-in-line starting guards- Jeff Teague, C.J. Miles, and Monta Ellis walk in free agency.
Consecutively, the most interesting storyline the Blue & Golds bring this season is the making of third-year center, Myles Turner. Can the 21-year-old rising star fill the void that George’s departure has made?
One more player to look out for in the Pacers’ lineup would be the returning former Indiana University All-American Victor Oladipo.
