The Chicago Bulls are 2-2 so far into the preseason to the NBA 2017-18 regular season. Their opponents for this match, the Cleveland Cavaliers, are 0-3. They surely don’t want a fourth loss in a row, but we can’t predict an easy win for them either.
The Chicago Bulls will be playing their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers without four of their key players. They are Kris Dunn (out due to a left index finger injury), Zach LaVine (out due to an ACL), Cameron Payne (out due to a right foot injury), and Quincy Pondexter (out due to a left hamstring injury).
Here are the starters we expect for the game against the Cavaliers without all these players out due to injuries. LeBron James and Jae Crowder at forward (Crowder has a 12.5 ppg, 3.5 rpg and 1.0 apg). Kevin Love will be taking center. Dwyane Wade and Derrick Rose will be the guards. Wade deserves special note here. He has a 10.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, and 4.0 apg.
The Cavaliers are happy that it is going to be LeBron James’ first game of the year. Sadly, the Cavs will be missing out on Isaiah Thomas because of a right hip injury and Iman Shumpert because of a left foot injury.
The team looks fairly good. Their current averages for field goals per game and assists per game are 36.7 and 26 respectively for the preseason 2017-18.
Paul Zipser and Nikola Mirotic are most probably starting forward. Zipser really needs to up his game so that the Cavs can give a tough fight to the Bulls forwards. Robin Lopez, we expect, will be playing center. Justin Holiday with a 13.8 ppg, 4.0 rpg, and 2.8 apg along with Jerian Grant will be playing the guard probably.
