After losing a close 75-74 to Miami Heat in their Summer League opening match, the Spurs Cruised through to a 101-95 against Philadelphia 76ers Sunday night.

Second-year player Bryn Forbes, who scored 18 points against heat once again led the team in scoring with 35 points ( 8 of 17 from the floor) and also helped with three assists and two steals playing just 29 minutes.

Forbes is continuing his amazing form, in last week’s Summer League event in Utah, Forbes led all scorers, averaging 21.3 points in three games and it seems there is no stopping him. Let’s see what he does against the Trail Blazers on Tuesday evening.

Davis Bertans notched 20 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks while Shayne Whittington recorded 13 points and six rebounds in that win.

2017 draft 29th overall pick Derrick White, who sat out on Sunday may start against the Trail Blazers.

Portland Trail Blazers Team News

Playing their second game in Las Vegas Portland lost 70-64 to the Celtics at Thomas & Mack Arena Sunday night.

Struggling everywhere on the court, the Blazers played a poorly coordinated game. 2017 draftees Caleb Swanigan managed 12 points ( 4-of-12 shooting), seven rebounds, two assists and a steal while Zach Collins finishing with five points, six rebounds, three steals, two blocks and an assist.

Trail Blazers would look forward to improving their defensive side as they end the preliminary round of summer league against the San Antonio Spurs Tuesday afternoon.
