Boston, Massachusetts – Boston Celtics has mastered winning the game on their home court by beating the Washington Wizards last Thursday with a score of 123-101, grabbing a 3-2 lead in the second playoff NBA games.
This year, the Boston Celtics and the Washington Wizards have a total of nine playoff games at Boston, and the hometown team has won all nine. Last Wednesday, the Boston Celtics celebrated their ninth victory over the Wizards on their home court.
During the first quarter of the game, Celtics already showcased a strong performance as they got an early 16-0 running which helped them dominate the game over the past four quarters. The fire of Celtics rose up when the first points of Wizards took place in the game.
Avery Bradley, 26-year-old, shooting guard and point guard of Boston Celtics was the man behind the huge score of the Celtics over the Wizards during the first half of the game. He scored 25 points in the first half of the game that piled up 22 points against the opponent.
Bradley did not play in the last quarter of the game, but he made a remarkable last shot at exactly 5:55 left in the third quarter. His teammate Isaiah Thomas said that he did not mind his injuries, but he continued to play and gave his best until the end.
Al Horford, another best player of Boston, finished the game with 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists. Jae Crowder and Thomas both compiled 18 points, together with 8 rebounds of Crowder and 9 assists of Thomas.
Thomas took the lead during the last quarter where Bradley was sitting on the bench as he scored eight consecutive points. Celtics made a history as they became the sixth team in NBA who scored 10 three pointers in six straight playoffs.
On the other hand, the Wizards guards, John Wall and Bradley Beal led the team with 21-point for Wall and 16-point for Beal.
Celtics can now advance to fight against the Cleveland Cavaliers if they win Game 6 this Friday, 13 May 2017, 8:00 am at Verizon Center, Washington. If Wizards gets the victory, the seventh game will happen, and the winner will face Cavaliers next Wednesday.
