Chicago Cubs vs San Francisco Giants

Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants face off in the middle game of the three-game series tonight. The game tips off at 10:00 PM EST in AT&T Park, San Francisco, California. The match can be watched online live on FuboTV.

The defending world series champs posted a 3-5 victory in the series opener, giving some relief to a team which is coming off from back-to-back series loss. Meanwhile, the Giants entered the game strong but their batting lineup crumbled against Cubs starter Jake Arrieta. If the Giants wants to be in the National League West race they need to win the following two games at all costs.

Chicago Cubs Team News

Jake Arrieta (11-8) allowed three runs (two earned) and nine hits in 6 1/3 innings in Monday’s win, improving to 5-2 in seven career starts against the Giants.

Jose Quintana (2-1, 4.13 ERA with the Cubs) will be ready for his fifth start since joining the Cubs on Tuesday. Although the veteran pitcher has faced a skid, allowing six runs in five innings to the D-backs in his last outing, Quintana can deliver some incredible curveballs, which can be problematic for any hard hitting batter.

San Francisco Giants Team News

Former Cy Young Award winner Rookie Ryder Jones smashed his first Major League home run, in the sixth inning but couldn’t help the Giants to take away the match Monday night.

Ty Blach gets the ball on Tuesday’s for the Giants. The rookie is coming off one of the best outings of his career, hitting a three-run homer and throwing eight innings of two run ball against Oakland last Thursday. Let’s hope he follows that up well against the Cubs.
