Arizona Diamondbacks Team News

Hoping to open their second half on a positive, the D-Backs hit a wall as they faced a three game series sweep by the Atlanta Braves.

Arizona will send Robbie Ray after a day off in the series opener against the Reds on Tuesday. After a not so well first half, Ray will hope to make a statement. In his last start, he pitched six innings striking out 13 against the Dodgers.

Cincinnati Reds Team News

The Reds are coming off a disastrous second half opening series to the Nationals, losing all four games.

As the homestand continues the Reds face the D-backs on Tuesday and Sal Romano will make the start. The 23-year-old has been recalled from Triple-A Louisville.

In his two big league starts this year, Romano bagged his first Major League win in his last outing on July 6. With the little experience he had, Romano did pretty well, giving away just two runs over five innings against the Rockies at Coors Field.
