After the unsatisfying first half, the Giants made it clear that they ain’t be slowing down their 2017 campaign on Friday night. Buster Posey’s seventh-inning home run and two RBIs lifted the San Francisco to a closely fought 5-4 victory over the Padres at Petco Park.

The Giants will send Madison Bumgarner, who was sidelined for the most part of the season with a dirt-bike accident on Saturday against the Padres. This will be his first start since April 19. The left-hander four-time All-Star has made around 100 pitches in four starts this season.
