Former Dodger Scott Schebler will make his return to Dodger Stadium on Friday night as the Reds will look to edge out for the National League lead.

Another former Dodger player, Jose Peraza will be playing in the Reds Friday. Peraza has started 53 games in the middle infield for Cincinnati this season, hitting .248 with 14 stolen bases.

Amir Garrett takes the pitch as the Reds begin a weekend series in Los Angeles against the Dodgers on Friday. In his return to the lineup from the DL on Sunday, Garrett struggled in the game against the Braves, allowing nine runs (eight earned) over just in 2 2/3 innings.

In their first career encounter, Clayton Kershaw hammered Stephen Strasburg with a three-hitter for seven innings, and Yasmani Grandal shot a tiebreaking double in the sixth inning as the Dodgers pulled off a 2-1 over the Nationals on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium.

Los Angeles will look forward to having Justin Turner back in the lineup.

After a day off, the Dodgers resume the homestand on Friday night against the Reds, with Rich Hill scheduled to make the start. In his last outing, he threw for four-inning, walking out four in Milwaukee.
