The Rockies’ will send Left handed Tyler Anderson (2-4, 6.43 ERA), who had a  combined 18 strikeouts in his past two starts, to open a three-game set against the Reds at Great American Ball Park on Friday.

Anderson struck out 10, allowing one run in six innings in a win over the D-backs and then in the loss to the Dodgers he gave up three runs through 5 1/2 innings striking out eight.

After the disastrous 1-6 road trip, the Reds will return to Great American Ball Park to kick off a five-game home stand. In the first three-game series against the Rockies, right handed Lisalverto Bonilla, who came back from Triple-A Louisville will make his second start for Cincinnati Friday. Bonilla threw a complete game in the 3-1 loss to the Giants on Saturday, giving up three on six hits while striking out five.

Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco who has already missed past three games with left hamstring soreness won’t back in the lineup on Friday.
