Actors who will likely take part in the completion of a reported “Mortal Kombat” film have been circulating online.
According to Revenge of the Fans, a website for superhero character enthusiasts, actors like Joel McHale will play as Johnny Cage, the staple of the Mortal Kombat series of fighting video games.
McHale has been known as the host for “The Soup” and appeared in the NBC situational comedy, “Community.”
Another revelation from the website mentioned Jennifer Carpenter as another possible cast.
The “Dexter” actress will reportedly portray Sonya Blade, the commanding officer of the US Special Forces in the Mortal Kombat video game.
Australian actor, Jordan Rodrigues, is reported to play Liu Kang, the Shaolin monk who joins the Mortal Kombat tournament to rescue the Earthrealm.
The first live-action “Mortal Kombat” film was released in 1995.
