Pop-star and universal crush Ariana Grande will soon have her Dangerous Woman avatar featured in Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius.
Brave Exvius is a mobile game, which features two knights who can call in ‘visions’ to help in combat. Moreover, it is a free-to-play and quite amazing game in the Final Fantasy series. It has old-school turn-based combat with a great soundtrack backing it. Also, it has some decent retro graphics and tons of quests.
More than 8 million users have played Brave Exvius worldwide since its first release in Japan in 2015 on Android and iOS.
Grande announced that her avatar as ‘DW’ (or Dangerous Woman) would appear in the game via Instagram. The character seems to be modeled after her album cover by the same name.
On Instagram, bubbly Grande wrote of her character: “It’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life, and I’m so excited, and in love, with it, I cannot contain myself.”
Furthermore, this is the first time a non-fictional character is introduced in the Final Fantasy franchise. Obviously, it’s a great marketing strategy aimed at attracting a younger audience to the Japanese RPG scene.
Final Fantasy is one of the most popular gaming series of all time.
It started in 1987, since then it had released many adaptations and even films, books, and soundtracks.
In November, last year Hajime Tabata, the man behind the new Final Fantasy adaptation said that the latest offering has undergone a “radical change”.
Moreover, the game took 10 years to making and was one most anticipated games of 2016.
