UC Irvine Team News

Irvine are 6-1 this season and come from their first loss of the season losing 67-60 to Toledo at home last Wednesday.  They’ll like to forget that and win on road against a team they have never lost to. In their last game they led in the first half and finished the game on the losing  side. Other than that they have played well in other matches scoring 71.4 PPG  and have been decent defensively conceding 60.1 PA in an average. Their opponents are already in a 3 game losing streak and the Anteaters will surely like to dominate them and take advantage of their bad form. The edge surely lies with them but we cannot be sure of what the game will bring to us.

Saint Mary’s Team News

Saint Mary’s Gael’s have better stats than their opponents in every way but their result tells another story. They are 3-3  this season , they’ve won two games at home and they would want to end their 3 game losing streak. They are scoring 73.3 PPG and have conceded  66.8 PA. They’ve failed to keep their lead in the games they have played and last led 7-6 in their last game in which they finally lost 74-68 to Harvard. They are not the same team they used to be. They will have to convert their free throws missing 10 out of 26. One positive for them is J. Ford who is scoring 22.0 PPG.
