The Bobcats are 2-2 this season where they have lost an away game and won another. They come into this game with a 58-50 victory against Maine behind their back. They only managed to score 19 points in the first half but came back strong where Tyrese Williams scored four 3 pointers and scored a career best 19 points, Aaron Robinson upped the game with long balls in the second half and scoring 11 points to come out on top in the second half. Cameron Young and Jacob Rigoni scored 12 and 11 points to complete the comeback after they found themselves trailing in the first half. The key lies in defense against Umass because of their opponents tight offense whereas they are a low scoring team ( 58.5PPG). Bobcats ( 66.8 PA ) have to be good at the back to get something out of this.
UMass are 4-3 this season and were denied their fifth win the last time around against Nevada Wolfpack who looked relentless and won the game 110-87 . There were a lot of positives for Umass as Luwane Pipkins upped his game scoring 30 points with 4 rebounds and 9-12 accuracy, 6-4 from distance. They could not match to Nevadas 61.5% marksmanship. They have a certain edge over their opponents this time out as stats and recent performances favour them quite a bit. If they play tightly at the back they’ll win this comfortably. Lets see if their opponents up the game against them or lose away.
