The Denver Pioneers had a 63-50 season-opening win over the Maine Black Bears, making them 1-0. Senior Ronnie Harrell was the team leader with a total of 18 points. Last season was really good for the Denver Pioneers. We believe that they have only improved ever since. And this time, they will be planning an even better campaign throughout the 2018-19 NCAAM season. With 15 wins last season, the Pioneers were a strong force. This season too, they have been picked to finish on the third spot in the entire Summit League. We expect great things from the team and just hope that they don’t let us down.
The #12 Kansas State Wildcats are 1-0. Most probably, they are going to win this matchup with easy. We would place their chance of winning in the 85-95% range today.
The season-opening win of the Wildcats over the Kennesaw State Owls was especially inspiring. The entire team and the head coach Bruce Weber are riding on a confidence high. Friday night was good, and they want to make another great impression now bu beating the Pioneers.
Although Weber was sure to note that the team wasn’t very good and that there was plenty room for improvement. That alone means that the team is in a strong position because it’s willing to further improve after successful wins.
