Rice Team News

The Rice Owls sure have a thing or two going for them. For example, their game is improving even if their scores don’t show that. The new head coach Mike Bloomgren is really proving to be a positive tide of change for the Rice team. The ball possession duration has seen a lot of improvement over the past few games and throughout most of the 2018 season.

Like old times, the offensive line is not falling apart. It’s functional. Yes, the running game is still quite weak and generic. But that is compensated. The team isn’t making huge mishaps or having goof-ups. No big penalties.

Wake Forest Team News

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are very hopeful of a thrashing victory. Wake Forest have a great passing game that can easily attack the pass defense of Rice Owls.

Also, this might as well be the game where starter Kendall Hinton gets back on the field. In the loss against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, he ran for a touchdown of 23 yards. He was suspended.

Also, the Demon Deacons won’t be seeing much resistance from the Rice Owls. The Owls just don’t have the kind of pass rush offense that can disturb the Deacons offense. The Wake Forest team is ready to bounce back from their loss at the hands of Notre Dame. This is the game where they do that. They will be quick and keep stacking the points up throughout the game. This is going to be a comfortable win for Wake Forest.
