The leading concern for the USC Trojans has to be the performance of freshman quarterback JT Daniels. If he slips up, it could well mean a poor gameplay from their side. And if he shines, that could be all the difference the game needs.
UNLV Rebels lost 43-21 to the Trojans before #10 Stanford Cardinal defeated them 17-3. The Trojans are not as strong as they were once. But still, they have the firepower to take down a number of powerful opponents and that’s what we expect them to do this game.
The Longhorns need to win this one. The entire fan sentiment can change about the new head coach Tom Herman. The USC Trojans are not the same undefeated team they once used to be. For probably the first time, we believe the Longhorns have a solid chance at the Trojans. Rock-solid, indeed. Why do we say that? Well, both the teams have the same passing yards stats, which determines the strength of the offense. They both allow similar yards, meaning similar defense (373.5 yards for the Trojans vs 380.0 for the Longhorns).
In a way, we think the Longhorns are actually better if you take play-form into account, and have a higher chance to win if everything goes as we expect. However, let’s stop the imaginations now.
