The #13 Virginia Tech Hokies might be the clear winners some time ago. However, the Duke Blue Devils are not a different beast altogether, thanks in most part to the coach David Cutcliffe. The face-off won’t be easy anymore. Hokies must expect some resistance from the Blue Devils and a tough fight. The #13 Hokies are 6-1 so far into the season. The Blue Devils are 4-4 (1-4 in conference).
The Duke Blue Devils are a changed team. They will pose a great challenge to any team that comes their way. Winning against Duke isn’t easy anymore. Duke is now averaging 27.0 points per game while allowing for only 20.1. The stats are much better for the Virginia Tech Hokies, but still they are enough to be a good challenge for them.
We will be watching the season leaders closely. Daniel Jones, Shaun Wilson, and T.J. Rahming lead the Blue Devils in passing yards, rushing yards, and receiving yards. Their performance has been key in the recent matches of the team and will be the same in this one too.
The Hokies are 2-1 in conference and most probably winning this game against the Blue Devils. What they need to look out for is not taking the opposition lightly. They expect, and they better do, that the Duke team will give them a tough fight.
The Hokies are averaging 37.0 points per game. It’s 10 more points than the Blue Devils average. Their defense is also better. The Hokies are allowing only 12.7 points per game, which will make things very tough for the Duke team.
Josh Jackson will up his game further in this match. We expect him to escalate his stats further. No player can take this game lightly.
