The UCLA Bruins and the Oregon Ducks are pretty much similar in many ways this season. College football is known to be unpredictable at times. We didn’t expect the teams to end up in the positions they are.

The Ducks are 4-3 with 1-3 in their division. The Bruins are 3-3 with 1-2 in their division. Both teams require a win scale past their immediate contenders this season. The match will be interesting.

Oregon Team News

The Oregon Ducks are not in a very good mood now. In their back to back matches with two ranked opponents, they suffered humiliating losses. First up were the #11 Washington State Cougars on October 7. The match was a 33-10 loss for the Ducks. Next and most recently they were up against the #23 Stanford Cardinal. This game was a further shade of humiliation. Oregon lost 49-7.

With an equally powerful opponent to themselves, this is the time to redeem the honor. The Ducks will be trying to have a win at any rate. They will be needing to improve their defense, however, if they want to have a sure shot at victory.

Their offense will tear the Bruins apart. But if they can’t defend their own region, they might end up giving a lot of scoring room to UCLA.

The Oregon Ducks are clocking at 37.9 points per game while allowing 30.3. Their total yards per game average at 467.6, which is decent, but not as spectacular as their opponent’s 527.2. Anyhow, they are allowing 362.0 yards only, while the Bruins are allowing 523.0 yards. So there, the offense will come in very handy.

UCLA Team News

The UCLA Bruins have a good offense but they allow 40.5 points per game in average. This is certainly bad news. However, banking solely on their offense, the team can pull off a win. It’s hard to say, really.

Their last game was a 47-30 loss at the hands of the Arizona Wildcats.
