The #9 Oklahoma Sooners are 5-1 so far in this season of college football. The Sooners can’t afford to lose a game now. The Kansas State Wildcats need a win against a good team to solidify their position. The Wildcats are not where we would expect.
The Oklahoma Sooners are a very strong team. Most probably, they are going to have an easy time winning this game. The Sooners will be ready to take on the Wildcats by using their strengths and the Wildcats’ weaknesses.
The only place where the Wildcats come close to being comparable with the Sooners is the allowance of yards. Sooners allow for 368.0 while the Wildcats allow even less, 362.5. This slight improvement won’t really matter as the Wildcats don’t have the kind of offense to score a lot of points against the Sooners while the Sooners have the firepower to deal a huge amount of damage before the Wildcats can retaliate.
3-3 Kansas State Wildcats need a win. However, this is not a game where they are going to have one, most probably. Although the Wildcats are pretty decent in their stats, when we put them up against a team like the Oklahoma Sooners, the stats don’t stand out that much.
They are going with decent averages, nevertheless. 31.7 points per game is a decent average. Further, only allowing 21.0 points per game is also a good feat. Their total yards (and offense in general) is quite lacking. At 373.8 yards per game, they are a team that can’t score a lot against tough opponents.
A lot is riding on Jesse Ertz and Dalton Schoen. Their performance will be key.
