This is the next Ivy League game. Both teams are on equal footing so far into this season of college football. Both teams are 5-0. They are both 2-0 in the Ivy standings. However, one team must lose here. It will be 5-1 for one team and 6-0 for the other. Which team makes it through? Only time will tell.
The Columbia Lions are on a five-game win streak after defeating the Wagner Seahawks 17-14, the Georgetown Hoyas 35-14, the Princeton Tigers 28-24, the Marist Red Foxes 41-17, and most recently the Pennsylvania Quakers 34-34 in overtime.
They are confident, positive, and coming really strong. However, the only problem is that the enemy is of the same nature. There is nothing else one can expect besides a powerful gameplay from the Lions.
Columbia will be trying to make its 5-0 a 6-0 win streak. They will be trying very hard for it. One more Ivy League win after Princeton and UPenn means a lot.
The Dartmouth Big Green are coming off victories against five teams. They defeated the Stetson Hatters 38-7, the Holy Cross Crusaders 27-26 in overtime, the Pennsylvania Quakers 16-13, the Yale Bulldogs 28-27, and the Sacred Heart Pioneers most recently in a 29-26 game.
The Lions might be strong, but Dartmouth hasn’t shown the slightest sign of fatigue through the five games into the season so far. We expect the Big Green to keep up its form and give a tough beating to the Columbia Lions.
You can’t really predict a game like this. Both teams share the first spot in the Ivy division. Rest of the Ivy teams are much worse, except perhaps the Yale Bulldogs.
