The Syracuse Orange (2-3, 0-1) is a team we believe to be a good challenge. They have lost, yes. But both those teams were better in very clear ways. This time, their opponents are still full of talent, but they are playing at home. Speaking of the opponents, the Pittsburgh Panthers (2-3, 0-1) are looking forward to building upon a win over Rice but their performance hasn’t been particularly inspiring.

Pittsburgh Team News

Simply put, the Pittsburgh Panthers have a generally acceptable offense and a mediocre defense. You might as well remark that the Panthers actually have one of the worst defense in the NCAA.

If the Panthers don’t let the Orange take advantage of their secondary, the match will be much easier to win for the Orange. As hard as it seems, it is not impossible.

Syracuse Team News

Syracuse might be losing so far, but this is a game where they can finally win and solidify their future in the season. They have a decent offense that will breach right through the Panthers. They are playing at home while also looking forward to some sort of revenge.

Syracuse is going to be missing out on a lot of players. Some of these players, we believe, are actually quite promising for a matchup against the Pittsburgh Panthers. For example, linebacker Shyheim Cullen is a key player who will come handy when the Orange has to brace up for a Panthers offense that’s close to very powerful.

The probably out players are Jamal Custis (WR) and Zaire Franklin (LB). Josh Black (DL), Kendall Coleman (DE), and Shyheim Cullen are all in the doubtful region. Moving on, Sean Avant (WR), Antwan Cordy, and Jake Pickard (DE) are all out. And of course, Aaron Robers (OL) is out for the season.
