Michigan Wolverines Team News

Senior quarterback Wilton Speight posted 14-of-23 in passing for 169 yards in the win over Air Force but it was the running backs unit which stole the game. The fifth-year senior Ty Isaac (16 rushes, 89 yards), junior Karan Higdon (12 rushes, 64 yards, one TD) and sophomore Chris Evans (six rushes, 30 yards) averaged at least 5.0 yards per attempt each.

The Michigan defence is red hot as well. The grouped racked up nine tackles for loss with three sacks. Sophomore Khaleke Hudson made an interception and a forced fumble. Fifth-year senior linebacker Mike McCray and freshman Devin Bush each posted 11 tackles, while senior Chase Winovich had nine last week. The unit will look forward to continuing the amazing form when they meet Purdue on Saturday.

Purdue Boilermakers Team News

The Boilermakers seems to carry one of the best offensive units this season led by David Blough, who finished 11-for-13 passing for 235 yards and three scores in the victory over Ohio. Tario Fuller led the team in rushing with 16 rushes for 142 yards and his first career touchdown last week.

The Boilermakers defence still needs to be balanced, coach Jeff Brohm may make some changes on the receiving end.  Brohm seems to be working well for the struggling Purdue which was 9-39 during the past four seasons.
