The Wildcats posted a record-breaking 76-0 win over Montana Western to open the season last Saturday.

WSU made 485 yards of total offense, notched 10 touchdowns and forced five turnovers against Montana Western. The Wildcats broke all their records making eight rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns, four interceptions, and forced one fumble in the win.

Three Wildcats carry three players who have earned STATS Preseason All-America honors: Andrew Vollert, Jacob DeMaio, and Taron Johnson.

California Golden Bears Team News

California fought for a close 35-30 win at North Carolina in the season opener under the new era of .head coach Justin Wilcox. The Bears scored two fourth quarter touchdowns to snatch the victory from NC.

It will tough battle on the offensive side on Saturday against WSU, as Cal made 469 yards of total offense in the opener, with 363 coming in the passing game.

Sophomore quarterback Ross Bowers, in his first career start, went  24-of-38 passing for 363 yards with four touchdowns.

Senior Devante Downs took charge of the defense with 13 tackles, an interception, and a forced fumble.
