Lane Kiffin’s first stint as Florida Atlantic’s head coach didn’t go that well the Owls suffered a 42-19 loss to Navy at FAU stadium.
Quarterback Daniel Parr did what ever he could, going 19-of-30 for 281 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, including a stretch of 13 completions in 14 attempts for a combined 179 yards.
In the passing, DeAndre McNeal caught four passes for 88 yards and a score while Willie Wright added 92 yards on three receptions and a touchdown.
Kerrith Whyte led the running back line with six carries for 36 yards.
The Badgers awestruck the crowd as they crawled back from 10-0 hole to score 59 unanswered points, including 24 over a stretch of 4 minutes, 52 seconds for a 24-10 lead and emerged as the winner in the 59-10 victory over Utah State.
Tailback Jonathan Taylor posted an extraordinary performance with 87 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries.
Sophomore QB Alex Hornibrook threw for a career-high 3 touchdowns as he ran for 244 yards in his 10th career start, posting a passing efficiency rating of 197.4. Hornibrook was rumored to have picked up an arm strength problem after the game but now he is all clear for the clash the Owls.
