ETSU posted a 31-10 victory over Limestone last Saturday night in the season opener. ETSU had 239 passing yards and 140 rushing yards.

Redshirt junior quarterback Austin Herink completed 16 of his 20 passes for 239 yards making three touchdowns.

Senior Vincent Lowe posted a career high with five receptions while sophomore defensive lineman Nasir Player had a team and career high 10 tackles in that victory.

ETSU seems to have all the ingredients for a bid to the bowl but before that will they able beat No. 1 Madison on Saturday?

No. 1 and the reigning FCS champion James Madison is fresh off a 34-14 win over East Carolina last Saturday night. JMU’s offense piled up over 600 yards of offense in that win which includes 410 yards.

Redshirt senior running back Cardon Jonson notched the school’s second-most rushing yards with 265 with two touchdowns and Marcus Marshall had 88 yards on 10 carries in his JMU debut.

JMU will aim to limit Penalties on Saturday as they were hit with 14 flags, resulting for 172 penalty yards. Most of those penalties took place in the defensive backfield on pass interference infractions.
