New Mexico State Team News

The Aggies enter the season with two players- Larry Rose III and Jaden Wright being named to national preseason watch list 2017.

The 5-11, 195-pound tailback Rose will enter his senior season as the country’s No. 4 active leading rusher. Last season,  he ran for 1,651 yards and capturing 14 touchdowns.

One of most underperforming teams in last decade,  Doug Martin’s team will see seven offensive starters return, including quarterback Tyler Rogers, and also nine starters return on defense this season.

Arizona State Team News

Pressure will be on freshman Brandon Ruiz., who will be filling the most decorated Sun Devil placekicker Zane Gonzalez spot this season.

Arizona State has similar faces taking charge at center entering 2017 as redshirt junior Manny Wilkins returns as the team’s starting quarterback. Wilkins finished with a 133.19 QB rating last season after going 197-311 for 2,329 yards, making 12 touchdowns.

No doubt ASU is going to win this battle but the question by what margin? A big opening victory does give players an extra boost.
