Holy Cross Crusaders Team News

Although the Crusaders ended 4-7 last year (2-4 Patriot League) they will return a number of players on both offense and defense. There will be 12 returning starters and coach Tom Gilmore has included key players who missed most of 2016 season due to injury in 2017’s 53-man roster.

Most surprisingly, 16 of the 22 players from the offensive line will return.

Connecticut Huskies Team News

The Huskies welcome return of Randy Edsall as head coach, who is all set for his second campaign at Connecticut. Edsall is the winningest football coach in UConn history with 74 wins in 12 seasons from 1999-2010.

The following player will be taking key positions in the 2017 season:

Redshirt sophomore offensive linemen Matt Peart, redshirt junior offensive linemen Ryan Crozier, redshirt junior running back Jason Thompson, Junior wide receiver Hergy Mayala,  redshirt senior defensive back Tre Bell, redshirt senior tight end Tommy Myers and seniors: tight end Alec Bloom,  linebacker Junior Joseph, , linebacker Vontae Diggs and defensive linemen Luke Carrezola.
