Hawaii Rainbow Warriors lock horns with UMass Minutemen to kick off the 2017 College football season. The game tips off at 6:00 PM EST in  McGuirk Alumni Stadium, Hadley, Massachusetts. Eleven Sports Network will be doing the US TV coverage while the game can be watched online live on FuboTV.

The clash will serve as a rematch of the wild 2016 regular-season finale when the teams combined for 86 points and 938 yards of total offense.  Hawai’i  managed to win that game 46-40 win in Honolulu to secure its first postseason berth since 2010.

This will be UH’s first trip to Amherst and will travel 5,000 miles on a nearly 10-hour flight and three-hour bus ride to the UMass campus.

Nick Rolovich will be heading the team for the second year and will enter the clash with 15 starters returning from a team that won their first bowl game in 10 years. However, Hawai’i holds a 13-game non-conference on the road losing streak which they would like to snap this Saturday.

Head coach Mark Whipple is on the road to make history as he is three wins away from moving into first all-time in UMass history for most career victories. Whipple holds 57 wins over his two his tenures as the team’s leader (1998- 2003; ’14-present).

Adam Breneman will be the man to look out for this season as he emerged as took the title of the most productive tight ends in FBS during the 2016 season, snathing receptions (70), receiving yards (808) and touchdown receptions (8) for the team.
