The Mountainers knocked out 13th seed Bucknell, 86-80, in the NCAA Tournament first-round game at KeyBank Center in Buffalo on Thursday.

The dying moment win was pulled off single-handedly by guard Tarik Phillip who made six consecutive free throws in less than minute to play to take the Mountaineers’ record to 27-8. Philip scored 16 points in that game.

The Fighting Irish defeated No. 12 seed Princeton 60-58, all thanks to Princeton’s Devin Cannady who missed an open 3-pointer in final moment in the first-round postseason game on Thursday

Forward Bonzie Colson posted 18 points and seven rebounds, while junior guard Matt Farrell added 16 points in that game.
