Reigning champions fifth seed Seton Hall Pirates (21-10) face top-seed VillanovaWildcats (29-3) in the first semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament tonight. The game tip-off at 6:30 PM EST in Madison Square Garden, New York, New York.

This will be the sixth time overall that these two heavyweights meet in the BIG EAST Tournament with the Pirates winning three of the five encounters, including last year’s 69-67 breathtaking Final.
The game will air on FS1, simulcast online via FOX Sports GO, with Gus Johnson, Jim Jackson and Lisa Byington calling the action.

The winner of the game will play against No.7 Xavier or No. 6 Creighton for the championship at 5:30 pm EST Mar, 11.

The Wildcats were shooting a blistering 63.2 percent from the floor in the massive 108-67 victory Thursday over St. John’s in the Big East Tournament quarterfinals.

Consequently, the points are the most scored this season by Villanova. Also, the 41-point win is the school’s largest margin of victory in a BIG EAST Tournament matchup.

Freshman Donte DiVincenzo made 7-of-8 from the field and posting 25 points, five rebounds and four assists while Senior Kris Jenkins added 24 points.

In the 82-76 victory over Marquette in the quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament on Thursday, Myles Powell posted 17 points for the pirates.

Khadeen Carrington made 19 points while Madison Jones netted 13 in the victory.

The win marked the eighth in 10 games for the Pirates and their sixth win in the last seven games in Madison Square Garden.
